About the Role We are a growing engineering business with a clear and ambitious strategic plan.
In order to continue our successful growth, we need to further develop our credible pipeline of qualified opportunities and close more contracts.
We therefore need to grow our sales capacity and capability - with the addition of a dynamic Business Development Manager.
This role calls for a highly proficient technical sales professional who has the ability to successfully develop business and relationships with a diverse customer base.
Reporting to the Sales Director, this role will require the successful candidate to demonstrate sales, account management, business development and a basic grasp of technical skills.
The focus of the role is to generate additional revenue, and we anticipate that this will be a result of proactive interaction with both existing customers as well as seeking out new customers and potential opportunities.
All of this is with the backing of an exceptional team of technical staff who are used to going above and beyond to deliver excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
The role will focus on key market sectors including Oil & Gas, Renewables, Marine, Aquaculture and Defence, based on our rental, design & manufacture and marine crane services.
Objectives, Tasks & Responsibilities Deliver agreed pipeline and sales targets Comply with Brimmond sales process requirements, including sales meetings, forecasting and reporting Develop and implement a business development strategy: identify clients and target organisations requirements with market research, establishing relationships and understanding their challenges The candidate must be able to provide any technical information, advice or supporting evidence such case studies or specification materials, to be able to explain specific services or requirements Become a key contributor to the creation, developing and winning of business opportunities.
Be adaptive, forward thinking and innovative to support our clients and win work Supply colleagues and management with any relevant updates with clients regarding, requirements, requests or problems Provide clients with all relevant updates regarding any current and new equipment, services and relevant company updates Deliver presentations and demonstrate how a product/service meets a clients' needs and requirements Develop and maintain the CRM system Attend appropriate conferences, exhibitions and sector specific events to develop knowledge and increase company presence Develop client retention with after sales support and account management Competitor knowledge and analysis across various sectors including energy and marine Contribute to the creation of suitable marketing materials to help support the sales and business development function Assist with forecasting, market trends and new potential revenue streams.
