Business Development Manager (FMCG) Location: Hampshire Region and surrounding areas Salary: £42,000 + Commission (OTE £55k) About the role: Our client, a national food, drink and catering supplier are looking for a Business Development Manager based in the Hampshire region.
The Business Development Manager will deliver sustainable, profitable sales by creating opportunities to sell more to current customers and give them service excellence, while at the same time identifying and converting prospect customers every period.
The Business Development Manager will understand and influence what effective food solutions would be for customers and then work with all internal and external teams to deliver this solution.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities: Work with existing customer base, being competent and utilising most recent technology to develop profitable sales growth in line with or above the sales & profit targets, E commerce and the online platform.
Identify and develop profitable business with new customers in order to increase market share and size of the market within the region.
Ensure all Company Standards' are adhered to with evidence to support compliance.
Work with the company specialists and external alliance partners to ensure that all opportunities to work profitably with our existing and potential customer base are being utilised to meet or exceed pillar profit targets.
Communicate across the Specialist Business and other business areas (FTM and National) to ensure there is a co-ordinated approach and activity with the customer.
Manage the relationship with the customer and ensure all queries and issues are dealt with in order to retain the customer's long term loyalty.
Provide accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas to ensure the company can provide a continued level of service to its customers and utilise opportunities for growth.
Business Development Manager Key Requirements: Driven, positive, self-motivated, ambitious individual Strong organisational and account management skills Preferred experience in a field sales role Relevant Sales qualifications or business qualification to A level standard or equivalent Experience of food and/or product sales (either foodservice, retail, supply side) Excellent understanding of foodservice/hospitality/catering industry/external market Competent in using technology, specifically Microsoft Suite Excellent customer knowledge and contacts in order to deliver new opportunities Exceptional selling and influencing skills, building strong relationships with customers Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills Current driving licence and ability to work across the region as required for customer base AMRT1_UKCT
