As a proud member of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), we are embarking on an ambitious projectSizewell C. This 3.2-gigawatt power station will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, playing a pivotal role in our energy future.
Sizewell C promises reliable, clean energy for at least 60 years, and we're looking for talented individuals to join us on this groundbreaking journey.
Location: Sizewell C Site Your Role: As an HSW Advisor, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental governance from design through to implementation.
Your responsibilities will include: Conducting planned project inspections and site tours.
Performing pre-work site inspections to evaluate and mitigate risks.
Reviewing unplanned events and supporting project/site management with investigations.
Liaising with clients and contractors to foster strong working relationships.
Preparing comprehensive reports following site visits, inspections, audits, and investigations.
Keeping project documentation up to date and compliant with our Business Management System (BMS).
Monitoring and adapting to new legislation to maintain compliance.
Communicating lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
What Were Looking For: To excel in this role, you should bring: A strong ability to influence and promote a positive HSES culture.
Expertise in incident and accident investigation.
An in-depth understanding of the UK Health and Safety Regulatory Framework.
Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to engage at all levels.
Broad experience in complex construction and civil projects, including specialist operations such as lifting, working at height, and temporary works.
Essential Qualifications: NEBOSH National Diploma, NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety, or an equivalent Level 6 qualification.
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) competence.
