Behaviour Support Practitioner

Leader Education are recruiting a Behaviour Support Practitioner to work at a SEMH school in Cramlington.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with young people with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs and experience of working 1-2-1 delivering interventions, supporting in a classroom environment as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
At Leader Education, the normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will: Have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one Have Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or other relevant qualifications are desirable Have effective behaviour management strategies Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCP's Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting Leader Education can offer: Competitive pay rates Refer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply) Free CPD including Team Teach A dedicated consultant to answer any queries and for ongoing support Potential permanent contract after a qualifying period Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience, qualifications which are relevant to this role.
