MFT is committed to improving the health and well-being of its diverse communities while providing a supportive environment for staff development and growth Main Responsibilities: Perform laboratory investigations in line with Trust protocols, ensuring high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Contribute to the delivery of diagnostic services within the pathology department.
Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff and students.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment and resources.
Essential Criteria: IBMS Accredited Biomedical Sciences Degree (or equivalent degree accredited with IBMS).
Current HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
IBMS Specialist Diploma in Non-Gynae Cytology (or equivalent level of knowledge).
Demonstrable Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) .
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Criteria: Experience in Non-Gynae Cytology .
Experience working in hospital-based laboratory settings .
