Read on to see how you can support the transition of elective patients from hospital to home.After the successful opening of Solihull's Elective Surgical Hub in November 2024; planning an extra 6000 operations every year, we're looking for an additional Band 6 Nurse to join our therapy lead team.
This is an exciting time for therapy services as we take our opportunity to shape the future of the hospital, Trust, and local community.Supported by your Service and Clinical Team Lead, you will be a fundamental part of our evolving, 7-day, multi-disciplinary service - triaging and reviewing arthroplasty patients virtually or at home following acute hospital discharge.

We can offer the role with flexibility; this can be discussed on a 1-1 basis.
Main duties of the job Success will see you utilise your sound clinical knowledge and experience as well as your excellent time management skills to work autonomously.
You will also support the management of the Wound Care Helpline, supporting the early identification of potential prosthetic joint infections.
These skills will be developed within a friendly and energetic team of physiotherapists, nurses, and therapy support workers across all disciplines.In return, we can offer you a warm and friendly welcome from the Therapies and wider Solihull Team, a starting salary of 37,338 rising to 44,962 with ongoing education and personal development.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential * Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration * Evidence of post registration CPD/post registration qualification in appropriate area of speciality or professional knowledge supplemented by specialist experience and short courses to FHEQ Level 6 Experience Essential * Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC * Significant post registration experience, with evidence of passion/ enthusiasm and knowledge for the associated area of specialist practice * Evidence of achievements and career development in current post and of on-going professional development/competence * Demonstrate specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and CPD relevant to speciality * Experience and enthusiasm for teaching/assessing and supervising others in a clinical setting * Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and cross agency work environment * Demonstrate understanding / experience / willingness to be a practice-based supervisor / assessor as detailed in the NMC
