Job summary To provide a comprehensive financial service to the hospital in-patients and in accordance with Trust Standing Financial Instructions, Policies and Procedures.
Main duties of the job Maintain bank accounts for all hospital inpatients, ensuring all day to day transactions are recorded and processed accurately and efficiently.Notify the Benefit Office of all admissions and discharges.
Supporting In-patients with on-line benefit applications, managing in-patients online claims, being point of contact for and liaising with the benefit office as and when necessary.Process payments of Hospital Pocket Money allowance to appropriate in-patients , update and maintain accurate records of all payments made.To maintain cash floats in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions, Make day to day cash payments, balance, reconcile and arrange for the reimbursement of cash floats.
Ensure ordered cash is counted and verified at the point of delivery.Provide a day to day cashiering function, ensuring all income received is collected, deposited, stored and banked in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions.To maintain systems for the safe storage and release of in-patients valuables handed in for safekeeping.Provide procurement services, process orders using the site purchase card, update purchase log.
Raise requisitions, goods receipt and distribution, distribution and processing payment of goods and services and , distribute goodsEnsure all documentation, systems and associated records are accurate and keep up to date at all times.
