\nWhat you'll be doing:
\n\nProvide technical and behavioural leadership Propulsion Test Section – Mechanical\nResponsible for research, compilation, reviews & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard\nTo represent the company internally & externally as required by contractual agreements \nResponsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation\nIdentify to the Line Manager the required team resource & experience\nLead & develop the team to achieve the programme requirements & objectives implementing performance measures\nProvide expertise & advice & guidance by acting as Subject Matter Expert at an Authorisation Group\nDemonstrate an in-depth knowledge of planning activities\nPerform the role of line manager to those Engineers identified in your hierarchy and demonstrate management behaviours\nTo exhibit the required company SHE behaviours and to demonstrate SHE and Quality Leadership, ensuring your team have both a thorough understanding of the content, risk & control measures and can ultimately demonstrate their competence to apply them \n\nYour skills and experiences:
\n\nPrevious experience of being a key person in their department beyond their per group for their technical knowledge competence\nIn-depth understanding and experience of delivery, with the ability to achieve key milestones\nDetailed knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment\nAbility to provide technical knowledge & instruction to emergent incidents \nAn understanding of capability & learning interventions, best practice and fundamental principles \nKnowledge and understanding to provide technical guidance to Gas, Fluid & Fire Fighting\nKnowledge and understanding of Mechanical Testing and Pressure & Endurance Testing\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate\nExperienced in Stakeholder management \nDegree/HNC/HND in a Engineering discipline or equivalent experience\nILM Level 2/CMI Level 3\n\nBenefits:

\nThe Propulsion Test Section team:
\nAs the Commissioning Project Lead – Mechanical (PTS) you will have the chance to work on state-of-the-art Submarine Propulsion Systems.
Working with a team of 6-20 engineers and staff to help deliver key objectives on this project within agreed timescales and budgets ensuring the right quality 100% of the time.
This role also offers excellent progression opportunities within the Nuclear Propulsion discipline.
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
