The Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, designing, and maintaining processes to ensure smooth configuration management activities.
This includes managing product releases, working closely with internal teams, and ensuring all configuration management tasks are delivered according to plan.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a clear configuration management plan.
Design processes to support configuration and release management activities.
Ensure all configuration tasks align with project standards and are delivered on time.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture configuration requirements and ensure they are met.
Lead configuration audits and provide guidance and coaching to the configuration management team.
Interface with platform configuration teams to keep platform configurations accurate and up to date.
Essential Skills and Experience A degree in a relevant technology, engineering, or science discipline.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or the ability to gain this within 12 months.
Membership in a recognized Professional Engineering Institute.
Desirable Skills CM2 certification.
Experience in configuration and release management within regulated industries (e.g., defence, aerospace, automotive).
