Do you have a caring and patient nature, with a desire to help students overcome communication challenges?
A friendly and inclusive special needs school in Abingdon are looking for a Graduate to join their team as an Autism/Speech and Language Assistant.
In this role, you will help support pupils with a primary diagnosis of Autism, who also face communication challenges.
As an Autism/Speech and Language Assistant you will Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with Autism, helping them with daily tasks, classroom activities and communication development.
Support children to develop social skills, emotional regulation and independence.
Create an inclusive, supportive and structured environment that promotes learning and healthy social interactions.
Work closely with Speech and Language Therapists to implement personalised learning plans and communication strategies.
The school are ideally seeking for a Graduate with a degree in Psychology or Criminology.
They are looking for a compassionate and patient individual, with a desire to help vulnerable children.
Experience working in a similar role or experience with SEN would be beneficial but not essential.
This is a great opportunity for a Graduate to gain valuable experience in the field of development, psychology and speech and language.
