Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale F: £24,341 to £26,404 pro-rata per annum (Actual) (£27,711 - £30,060 full time/full year equivalent)Working Weeks: Term Time plus 1 week (39 weeks)We are seeking a reliable, proactive and efficient Attendance Officer to join the team at East Point Academy.The successful candidate will help our students achieve success by working with students, families, staff and other agencies to support and intervene with student attendance.
You will have excellent organisational skills and confidence in communicating with a range of different stakeholders, including students and parents.Before applying, please read the attached Recruitment Pack and Job Description, for more details about the role.

This will support your application ensuring you have the opportunity to tell us about your relevant skills, experience and qualifications that relate to the job description and person specification in addition to details of your references covering the last 5 years.The main responsibility of the Attendance Officer role will be: To promote high levels of school attendance and punctualityTo liaise with parents, relevant County Council, alternative education providers, schools and other staff to support and improve student attendanceTo conduct meetings with students and familiesTo support good attendance through mentoring and small group work with students.To ensure the swift and accurate completion of the school register and any other attendance documentation The ideal candidate will have: GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishNVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a relevant roleExperience in working in monitoring attendance and punctuality of studentsAbility to build good relationships with teaching staff and Academy Leadership Team East Point Academy is the first secondary school to see the sunrise every day; East Point Academy is a great place to work.
