Job Titl e: ASV Senior Survey Engineer Location: Aberdeen Reporting To: ASV Program Director Salary: Highly Competitive ASV Integration Engineer: As an ASV Senior Survey Engineer at Beam, you will be at the forefront of deploying revolutionary new service capabilities.
Your expertise will define and deploy the survey, IT, and communications infrastructure critical to achieving our goals.
This is your chance to be an in-field expert, driving the integration of autonomous survey vessels (ASVs) and ensuring a seamless handover of new capabilities to our operational teams.
Objectives & Responsibilities: Beam is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow.
Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include: Aid the design, deployment, and maintenance of survey, IT, and communications infrastructure necessary for ASV operations.
Lead the integration of ASVs with Beam's existing systems and ensure compatibility with new and emerging technologies.
Act as the on-site expert during the deployment of new ASV capabilities, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting as needed.
Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and expertise to operational teams, ensuring they are equipped to manage and operate ASVs effectively.
Identify opportunities for system improvements and work with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements.
Ensure all ASV deployments comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and Beam's operational procedures.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional service.
As part of this role there is the requirement to work offshore across our fleet of vessels.
You should apply if you have: Essential: Degree in Survey, Engineering, Robotics, Information Technology, or a related field.
A familiarity with geophysical survey methods and marine site characterization A solid understanding of survey data flow from acquisition through to data transmission, processing and storage Experience with autonomous systems, preferably in the offshore or maritime industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
Ability to work in dynamic environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore as required.
Desirable: Knowledge of autonomous surface and subsea robotics is highly desirable.
