Job summary Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated care organisationOur new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.Two full time ( posts have arisen for suitably qualified and experienced nurses to join the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust Safeguarding team to support the safeguarding agenda across community and acute settings.Applicants will have a Registered General Nurse qualification/RSCN or Registered Adult/Child Branch .The post holders will contribution to development of child protection practice, supervision, education, accountability, governance and provision of expert advice based upon mandatory and statutory frameworks and guidelines providing high quality evidence based services to support the development of effective inter-disciplinary and inter-agency relationshipsIf you can work as an autonomous practitioner, have an ability to work with a range of professionals, have excellent communication skills, a team player and keen desire to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and adults and their families then this may be the opportunity for you to develop your skills further.For further information please contact:Sindy Manu (Named Nurse Safeguarding Children Team leader) on 0121 507 2844 Main duties of the job The post holder will be a skilled practitioner with a clinical registration and recent experience of working with vulnerable children, young people/adults and their families.The post holder will work with the Associate Named Nurses/Named Nurse Team Leaders, and the wider Safeguarding team; to ensure that the organisation meets its safeguarding children's responsibilities to effectively safeguard children across the health economy.The post holder will be required to meet statutory responsibilities of the Children Act (1989 & 2004) .
These obligations are fulfilled by providing clinical guidance across the field of safeguarding and protecting children.The post holder will contribute to the multi-agency partnership working arrangements and contribute to the safeguarding assurance framework to ensure children are safeguarded across SWBT .
