The role – what is it we would like you to do?
We are looking for an Associate Director for our contract solutions business, covering the UK market.
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of procurement and supply chain matters supporting Department head in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing, and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.
Responsibilities will include: Leading on the preparation of bids and tender opportunities in conjunction with Department head Leading on providing accurate advice and reporting to our clients both external and internal Managing and ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of projects, commissions and professional assignments Taking a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team leader Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with stakeholders to ensure efficient financial control Leading on undertaking strategic procurement and sourcing activities Leading on advising clients on undertaking public procurement activities enabling a robust assurance provision Ensuring all work outputs are delivered in an accurate and timely manner Working with the in-house communications team to produce articles demonstrating thought leadership and viewpoints Assisting Department heads in pursing business leads Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships Managing junior procurement staff Assisting Department head in operational management duties Any other duties as identified from time to time by Department head Requirements: Educated to a degree standard or equivalent and (ideally) MCIPS qualified (or equivalent professional body) Strategic procurement and tendering experience within public/private sectors A minimum of ten years' technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy or client environment (public or private) Experience in infrastructure projects and knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 would be advantageous Working knowledge of construction contracts and outsourcing contracts would be an added bonus Excellent technical writing, client-facing and communication skills Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute A team leader with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible Why choose Currie & Brown?
