An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mental Health team at HMP Whitemoor as an Assistant Psychologist. The role will be to support our clinical psychologist in the care of clients and to deliver psychological therapies. You will also work closely with Mental Health Practitioners and the wider healthcare team in delivering a trauma-informed service.

As part of the Stepped Care model, as an Assistant Psychologist, you would be able to work with clients with low-level mental health needs using basic counselling, anxiety management, and depression and anxiety interventions. You will provide psychological assessment, formulations, and interventions under the regular clinical supervision of a qualified psychologist. Part of your role will be to deliver structured interventions that you are trained in depending on the client's needs.

There will be an expectation to partake in service development, audits, and data collection on a regular basis.
