Job summary As an Assistant Practitioner you will be responsible for actively participating as a key member of the clinical team for providing quality services for an identified client group under the supervision of a registered professional.
Having undertaken a Foundation Degree level qualification will maintain, develop and evidence clinical knowledge, skills and competencies at all opportunities and through the competency framework.
You will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users and their carers.
Be accountable and work autonomously within clearly defined boundaries of the Assistant Practitioner competencies and carry out specific delegated tasks.
This may include extended roles delegated by a registered professional.
You will be expected to deliver care and services within the strategic objectives of the organisation and promote the principles of Recovery.
These principles will recognise the need to promote safe practice; value the beliefs and aims of service users and carers; work in partnership and offer meaningful choice; and value social inclusion.
Main duties of the job You will need to be conscientious and do everything you can to provide patient centred care.
You will work within the NSFT trust values and be able to meet deadlines to ensure that the service is delivered safely and effectively making sure service users obtain the support and care they need in a timely welcoming and collaborative team is recovery focused and works with a mixed caseload of male and female service users, who have complex mental health 're passionate about career progression, development and uncovering training opportunities - from the moment you join us, you will be supported to learn, develop and progress within your mental health joining our team, you will be well supported to develop further your knowledge and skills to deliver evidence-based interventions for the group of service users.
Personal development will be supported through meaningful Appraisal and via a bespoke training package (a comprehensive in house & external training programmes).
On a monthly basis you will be offered reflective practice sessions, mandatory clinical supervision, and Line management supervision.
You will also have an opportunity to actively take part in Quality improvement projects within the service.
There is also opportunities to enrol in local university training programmes in medication management as well as numerous other developmental opportunities.
