You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person.
The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising the daily routine of regular life.
Our full Multi-Disciplinary Team are on hand Monday to Friday and will support you in your new role.Youll get huge job satisfaction from seeing the people you are supporting do more for themselves and live the life they want to live.

Main duties of the job The Role:As Assistant Manager, you will be a flexible member of the management team ensuring effective coordination of the service.
You will assist in the management of a multidisciplinary workforce ensuring the Brainkind's policies, procedures and values are adhered to with due consideration to the regulations and outcomes surrounding registered services.
Ensuring the care and support offered to service users is also a huge part of the role.
We are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge of developing care plans, risk assessments and a robust knowledge of CQC.
You must be resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain agile with regularly changing priorities.Your responsibilities will include: To ensure the care and support offered to each person is of the highest quality, meeting individual needs sensitively and striving to enable service users to maximise their potential.
Demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands on management support and guidance, managing staff activities and influencing their practises and attitude.
Ensure all staff receives required supervision and personal development reviews, to promote their learning, as per Brainkind's policies.
Identify the training needs of the staff and contribute to the Service Training Plan, including the organisation of appropriate inductions, emphasising the aims, value base and high-performance standards expected.
This also may include carrying out staff training.

Job description Job responsibilities MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands on management support and guidance, managing staff activities and influencing their practises and attitude.
Assume line management responsibility for a group of staff which may include Team Leaders, as directed by the line manager in accordance with Brainkinds policies and procedures.
Assist and support the Service / Area Manager in setting and monitoring of budgets, capital and revenue for each area within location.
Ensure the effective management of Brainkinds resources within location, including staff expenditure.
Support the organisation with affective staff rotas ensuring staff meet their contractual requirements and personal objectives.
Be prepared to meet regularly with local authority representatives, staff, clinicians, family and other stakeholders to ensure a multidisciplinary team approach to service provision.
This may require working unsociable hours including evenings and weekends on occasion or where required.
Participate in the on call rota2 Support Service / Area Manager in selection and recruitment of staff in accordance with Brainkind Policies and Procedure, paying particular attention to desired attitudes and values of potential team members.
Ensure all staff receives required supervision and personal development reviews, to promote their learning, as per Brainkind policies.
Identify the training needs of the staff and contribute to the Service Training Plan, including the organisation of appropriate inductions, emphasising the aims, value base and high performance standards expected.
This also may include carrying out staff training.
To ensure all People We Support have received and been involved in their assessment, support plans, person centred plans and ongoing reviews.
Oversee monitoring and accounting of People We Support finances where appropriate.
Ensure effective health, welfare and safeguard needs of all individuals are met in line with legislation.
Establish and monitor medication systems as delegated and or appropriate.
Prepare or contribute to Service User review process, ensuring review reports are of a professional standard and collated in a timely manner.
Chair review meetings as required and facilitate Service User involvement.
Ensure People We Support, through staff, are supported to pursue educational and vocational goals to contribute to their life-long learning, their independence and to achieve their aspirations.
Ensure the outcomes within the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety are met thus establishing compliance to Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission Regulations 2009.
Manage and participate in regular Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Human Resources audits.
Support the staff team with regards to Clinical Governance, participate in meetings and ensure all actions are completed within specified time-frames.
Ensure all reporting processes; both internal and external are adhered to.
Ensure correct risk assessments are carried out, updated and reviewed as required for all aspects of service delivery within all designated locations.
Oversee and ensure correct moving and handling, food hygiene and nutrition as required for all aspects of service delivery.
Support in the management, monitoring and maintaining of finance procedures, payroll documentation, agency invoicing/timesheet approval.
Annual leave and sickness monitoring of staff within the service, as per Brainkind policies and procedures.
When needed, having disciplinary and investigation responsibilities such as investigating cases, compiling reports and panelling meetings.
Where necessary, responsible for reporting safeguarding incidents and completing all associated paperwork both internally and externally.
Ensure the overseeing of environments, vehicles and equipment within the location are fit for purpose and maintained to an acceptable and safe standard and planned maintenance schedule are in place.
This may include delegation of responsibility where necessary.
Continuously monitor service user need and ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to meeting those needs.
Support Service /Area Manager in all aspects of development and management of identified new service opportunities.
Facilitate effective teamwork within the service and maintain open dialogues with internal team members and external stakeholders to provide a high quality service at all times.
Work closely with the Service / Area Manager and Team Leaders to ensure the delivery of a person centred service and deputise/cover in their absence so that systems and structures of the service are maintained.
This may include carrying out weekly bed reports to support, or in the absence of, the Service / Area Manager.
Work closely with the Service / Area Manager to coordinate efficient operation of the service, delegating responsibilities where appropriate and necessary.
Represent the specified location and Brainkind at meetings, internally and externally as required.
Facilitate and participate in marketing activities as required and as directed.
Carry out any other duties within the general scope of the post as directed by the Service / Area Manager.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential QCF (NVQ) level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health (a commitment to work towards may be considered).
Good IT skills using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes a high quality specific service and experience.
Knowledge of using quality measures internal/external audits and experience of making improvements associated with such measures.
In depth knowledge of statutory requirements such as Care Quality Commission regulations and outcomes.
Knowledge of identifying and implementing staff training needs including knowledge of regulatory requirements for staff training in a social care environment.
Experience in the management and guidance of junior staff via formal supervisions and appraisals to maintain and improve quality and morale.
Desirable Ability to prioritise the workload to meet specified deadlines.
Able to demonstrate the use of initiative, problem solving skills and an ability to be flexible in approach.
Able to demonstrate positive approach to dealing with problems and complaints, Ability to be flexible and to work unsociable hours when required.
