Job Description Work within the Sevenoaks Office and on-site gaining skills, knowledge and experience of the Building Surveyors role, including Building Surveys to high rise residential properties and report writing.

Skills, Knowledge, Understanding and Learning To support colleagues by liaising closely with Clients, Residents, Contractors, Developers, Clerk of Works and other key stakeholders.
Develop an understanding of the requirements of the role of a Building Surveyor, completing works required by the Building Safety Act, using guidance from the regulator, with other internal and external project team members and in close collaboration with the Manager/Team Leader.
Support colleagues to undertake resident and stakeholder engagement through a projects lifecycle.
Understand what the key outputs (deliverables) are within a project, to ensure the Client gets the information they need.
To understand and support the preparation of the key building information and information required to complete a building safety case and audit and compliance trackers and logs, using (after training) appropriate software.
Work towards completing APC.
Main Duties Assisting with the delivery of the building safety case works including completing building safety case reports.
Working for a small team, reporting directly to the Team Leader/Delivery Director.
Work on projects based in London and surrounding areas including Essex and Kent.
Have an interest in developing a career path within the built environment and develop the skills and knowledge consistent with the post of Building Surveyor.
Procedures and Administration Understand the client's requirements to complete Building Safety Case related works.
Understand and support the resident liaison process required to complete the works.
Develop the ability to take minutes in both internal and external meetings and understanding the context of discussion points.
Support and understand how different roles within the project team support the delivery of a project.
Assist with and understand the tender process an procurement of key consultants and contractors.
