PCB Quality Inspector Our client is an established manufacturing company, who supply quality manufactured electronic assemblies.
They are currently looking for a PCB Quality Inspector to join their hardworking and dedicated team in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar role, be competent in soldering, have an excellent attention to detail and ability to read and follow technical drawings.
As a Quality Inspector, you will be inspecting PCB boards ensuring the quality of the product.
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences: Previous experience of inspection including assembling and soldering on surface mount and through hole boards and components Inspection of cables, harnesses and units to standard IPC/WHMA-A-620 The Inspector will also be checking cable harnesses and therefore will be familiar with wire sizes, crimp terminals etc Previous experience of hand soldering PCB components PCB component knowledge including identifying component values and polarisation Excellent understanding of PCB circuit diagrams and schematics Your duties as a Quality Inspector will include: Inspect PCBs to IPC-A-610, to ensure quality of product using the latest magnification equipment & AOI Liaise with Production Assist and support Production Technicians by discussing faults and findings to include Internal Training of the Team Manage and resolve inspection queries and raising NCR's as applicable Completing all NCR paperwork Monitor build, quality and report quality issues as necessary.
Action rework as necessary Knowledge required: Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM) Previous inspection and assembly experience to IPC-A-610 class 2 minimum desirable Attention to detail and accuracy Salary: Depending on level of experience Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 2pm Location: St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex Start Date: ASAP
