Academics are working with two independent special schools in the education and training sector in Bedford.
They support students 11-18, SEMH, SCLN with EHCP, where traditional styles of education have failed.
Designing, developing and building personalised learning pathways for SEND students, where classroom learning has been unsuccessful or not appropriate to the student complex individual and complex needs.
Title: ASDAN Tutor/Teacher Salary: Pay to Scale Location: Bedford Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an ASDAN tutor/teacher within the education and training sector in Bedford.
The ASDAN tutor/teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, education delivery, communication with students and parents, teaching, and training.
Qualifications required for an ASDAN Tutor/Teacher: Lesson Planning and Education skills Effective Communication and Teaching abilities Experience in ASDAN curriculum is a plus Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work well in a team Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (desirable if applying for tutor role, essential if applying got teacher role) QTS/QTLS, please see the above stat Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young learners with complex needs in an educational setting.
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students with complex needs.. Understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding policies.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN diploma, or equivalent).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Understanding or interest in learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements).
Ability to commute locally to Bedford.
