A network of primary schools is offering an apprenticeship for those passionate about working with young children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We're looking for dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who want to build a career in early years education by working as Teaching Assistant Apprentices within Nursery, Reception, and EYFS classrooms.
About the Role: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you'll work with children aged 3–5 years, helping to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for learning and development.
You will gain experience in a variety of settings across Devon, Plymouth, and West Dorset, contributing to a positive and nurturing atmosphere for young learners.
Training and Support: Your apprenticeship is managed by LMP Group , a leading training provider specialising in education.

16-month structured programme – ensuring that all aspects of the role and qualification are covered.
Designated safeguarding officers – to support safe learning environments.

Additionally, you will receive up to 10 value-added certificates in skills such as Mental Health Awareness, Understanding Stress, and ICT for Employment, enhancing both your qualifications and your readiness for the field .
Key Responsibilities: Supporting EYFS teachers with age-appropriate, engaging activities Providing one-to-one and small group support, aiding children's development in literacy and numeracy Maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment in line with safeguarding practices Observing and recording children's progress, contributing to assessments Encouraging social, emotional, and personal development in young children Supporting the daily routines and organisational needs of the classroom What We Are Looking For: To thrive in this role, you should be: 18 years or older (essential for this apprenticeship) Passionate about early childhood education and development A good communicator with children and adults, and a collaborative team member Patient, organised, and attuned to young learners' needs Eager to complete the Level 3 qualification, learning both in-class and through structured training What You Will Gain: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification – specialising in EYFS, fully supported by LMP Group Practical experience within a variety of EYFS settings across schools Professional development in essential skills for child development and classroom support Career growth opportunities in the education and childcare sectors Mentorship and support from experienced teachers, trainers, and safeguarding officers How to Apply: Please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your interest in early years education and this apprenticeship.
