Tiverton High School is looking to appoint a hardworking and innovative teacher to fulfil this key role.
You will be well-qualified with exceptional subject knowledge and teach across the age and ability range in our 11-16 co-educational school.
This role requires you to have high expectations for yourself and students, excellent communication skills, and a commitment for continuous development.
The science department is a supportive, dedicated, and experienced team who work hard to uphold the highest of expectations and deliver stimulating lessons.
The purpose of your role will be:To be accountable, alongside the Subject Leader, for student progress and development in your classesTo help develop and maintain the scheme of work for all key stages while ensuring it complies with the national curriculum, is varied and personalised, and is supplemented with a range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities.To ensure high standards of teaching and learning are established and maintained across the department.To help develop appropriate assessments across the key stages that are varied for all the needs of the students.This is a fixed term position to cover a period of maternity leave commencing as soon as possible.
