About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it.

During your apprenticeship, you'll absorb the wisdom, grasp the skills, and earn the qualifications to emerge as a top-tier Electrical Engineer – a true household hero.
Under the wing of our experienced Electricians, you'll soon learn how to deliver energy efficient solutions to our customers through installing, upgrading & maintaining electrical systems.Don't be fooled, this isn't your average gig; it's a hands-dirty, heads-down role.
But it is one like no other, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing energy-efficient solutions that directly impact the lives of families every single day, ensuring their homes are lit and their kettles boiled.Here's what we're looking for:4 GCSEs, ideally including Maths & English, at grade C/4 or above or a recognised equivalent.A genuine passion for learning a trade & striving for a successful career whilst working to the highest levels of safety.A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less.Availability to attend your training course, with provided accommodation and travel if needed (Training is hosted by Trade Skills 4U in predetermined locations in England).Proven customer focus; ability to listen to & respond to customer needs (for example, as an electrician, you will identify opportunities to make home more energy efficient & articulate these to your customers).We're recruiting in various locations.

A starting salary of £17,850 which will continue to rise as you hit specific milestones during your apprenticeship.Once you have completed the full programme and aftercare support, your salary will rise to £39,796, aligning to that of our fully qualified and skilled electricians.We also offer London Weighting Allowance ranging from £4000 to £6000 (dependant on location) for living or starting your day within London.Why should you apply?
