Job Description The Commercial team is responsible for the budget and to keep track of all costs involved in construction projects.
They source the services and resources needed, negotiating costs with other suppliers, and oversee projects and monitor plans to ensure deadlines are met, projects stay within budget and work is up to standard.
As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for: Answering queries from clients accurately and on time.
Liaising with Credit Control to assist with the timely management of cash receipts.
Assisting the team with the preparation of subcontract and supplier orders Assisting in the timely preparation of client applications for payment, checking and processing invoices, payment certificates and pay-less notices.
Assisting the team to prepare monthly statutory reports Managing project databases to ensure that documents, reports and the like are recorded in the correct database locations.
Preparing for and attending regular departmental meetings.
Assisting the team with general office duties and daily commercial tasks. What to expect from your Apprenticeship programme As an Apprentice Commercial Assistant with Property Services, you'll be given a real job from day one where you will gain hands-on industry experience, and the knowledge required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
You'll be inspired and stretched professionally, but fully supported by an expert network of colleagues, as you work to build the foundations for a career within United Living, and the construction industry.
To help you settle into your role, we'll provide you with a buddy from our apprentice population.
They will have some great advice as they were in exactly the same situation as you not so long ago, and you'll also receive a dedicated mentor who will help guide you throughout your apprenticeship programme to help you achieve professional success.
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto the Business Administration Level 3 qualification with one of our training partners.
You will be fully supported through a variety of methods such as remotely taught sessions, learning materials, and one-to-one support from your tutor or coach.
They will also meet regularly with you and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme.
Qualifications In order to be successful in this role we would like you to have: 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C/4-9 including English & Maths Good IT skills, particularly MS Excel Good attention to detail The commitment to live and breathe our company values during your work and studies.
The motivation and dedication to successfully complete your apprenticeship programme.
Please note, you must not already hold the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, or similar qualifications to be eligible to apply.
