Main duties of the job We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced AHP to lead a project delivering AHP services within the Acute Oncology Service.
This role will be overseeing a ward based project providing AHP driven holistic care to patients attending the Acute Oncology wards.You'll be working with the Therapy/Dietetics and SLT teams to help in the delivery of personalised care and rehabilitation needs of patients attending the unit.
You will be supporting a band 4 Technician to deliver the project, advising on project management, data collection, analysis and project dissemination.Attached you will find the person specification document which provides more detail about the essential and desirable skills and experience needed for this role.

Job description Job responsibilities What youll doYou will: Supervise and provide line management for the AHP Acute Oncology Unit Project.
Working with the project AHP technician to ensure the provision of evidence-based advice to patients.
Supervise training and implementation of nutrition screening, triaging of patient dietetic and SLT referrals and provide first line nutrition support advice.
Supervise training and implementation of Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapy assessment to support patients with their therapy needs.
Work with senior managers in Therapies/Dietetics & Speech Therapy to ensure integration of the project with the strategic aims of these departments.
Work with the Wessex Cancer Alliance, informing them on project progress and outputs.
Provide training to AHPs regarding the project.
Collect data, analyse data, write up reports and feed back to stakeholders.
Utilise data from the project to inform future AHP oncology were looking forWe are looking for a dynamic and motivated AHP with strong relevant clinical and leadership experience.
You should already be working as a senior AHP within an acute oncology setting.
You should have evidence of project management skills and be able to analyse and utilise data to inform policy.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are paramount to this role.
This is a project funded by the Wessex Cancer Alliance running for 6 months.
