Job summary In this crucial role, youll work closely with our Group Advisory Chairs to govern our OTDT Medical Team Advisory Groups.
Youll work across a wide portfolio of advisory groups and manage your own projects while servicing meetings for our teams.
In turn, youll be helping us serve patients more effectively throughout the UK.As Advisory Group Administration Officer youll draft agendas and papers for submission to our committees, circulate documents for comment and present data analysis to the teams present at meetings.
Advising committee members about ongoing business is an important part of the role.
Youll also arrange ad-hoc meetings, implement our policies and procedures and identify areas of business for committee consideration, finding an appropriate route using our governance structure.
Main duties of the job In this role you will play a vital role in supporting our Solid Organ Advisory Groups and Retrieval Advisory Group.
Working closely with the Advisory Group Chairs and our Statistics and Clinical Studies Team you will review and develop policies, assess outcomes and work with partners and stakeholders to improve outcomes for patients.
Your responsibilities will include: Performing a key role in the governance of the Organ Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTDT Medical Team Advisory Groups Preparing and distributing agendas and papers for biannual Advisory Group meetings Preparing and circulating documents for comment Analysis of documents and presentation of analysis of data to the Advisory Groups Compiling and publishing meeting summaries, minutes, and action logs Coordinating and monitoring follow up actions arising from meetings Preparing documents and summary reports containing recommendations to other OTDT/ NHSBT Meetings Drafting documents and correspondence for Advisory Group Chairs in respect of business arising from the groups Arranging ad hoc meetings and events of Advisory Groups and working groups as required Drafting amendments to Advisory Group terms of reference and membership To undertake project work as required You will be required to work some irregular hours and to travel, including occasional overnight stays when required (notice will be given and this is likely to be once a month) About us It takes all types of people to deliver the kind of service that saves and improves lives.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to postgraduate level or demonstrable equivalent experience Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD) Experience Essential Experience of servicing formal meetings within the NHS or a healthcare setting Experience of working in a regulated environment and use of Quality Management software Supervisory experience Experience of dealing with confidential matters of sensitive nature Experience in business and management, including good organisational skills with a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt and respond to a busy and varied workload Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office and 365 applications (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint)
