Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation with various locations across Scotland, is currently looking to recruit 3 x Case Team Assistants for initial 3 month contracts on a rate of £15.50/hour PAYE.
These roles will be based onsite across various locations.
Responsibilities: - Act as first point of contact for all people related queries and provision of high quality and consistent advice, guidance and direction to line managers and staff to satisfactory resolution demonstrating excellent customer care skills.
Escalate complex issues appropriately to P&D Advisors/Consultants to enable effective closure/resolution (relates to both deployments to People Direct and functional remits/teams).
- Record absence and return to work of officers and staff on the system and provide attendance management advice and guidance to individuals and line management as required following first contact (People Direct deployment only).
- In support of Advisors and functional remits, work proactively and timeously in regard to individual/team deliverables (functional workload, cases, projects, tasks etc.)
flexibly supporting the management of competing demands and priorities as appropriate and accessing line management for advice and direction as required.
- Assist Advisors in coaching, supporting and promoting consistent and proportionate people practices and any associated projects, priorities or activities whilst reinforcing effective corporate governance in support of functional and Departmental priorities.
- Contribute to the co-ordination, administration and delivery of all core functional case work support, inclusive of note/minute taking for employee relations cases, ensuring all files/records/case notes are accurate, up to date and appropriately stored/uploaded to CRM platform/SharePoint or associated manual systems ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements.
- As required, represent Advisors at local/regional/Force meetings in furtherance of P&D priorities and foster effective relationships with P&D colleagues and wider stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a track record of continuous professional development and regularly apply learning to effect change to P&D service delivery, policy, process and practices.
- Contribute to the development and design of resources/information channels and communications (toolkits, guidance documents, FAQs, intranet, Policy Hub, SharePoint, MI Dashboards etc.)
on all people related matters, supporting new initiatives, policy change or action in support of wider functional priorities and objectives.
- Support implementation of people related strategies, plans and initiatives towards implementation with energy and enthusiasm, working collaboratively with stakeholders on all people related issues.
- Contribute proactively to the production of high quality, accurate people related research, analysis and reporting and where appropriate provide insight in support of effective decision making.
Collate, produce statistical reports, analysis and Management Information (inclusive of Demand Data within People Direct) as required.
- Maintain and refresh functional level process maps, checklists and proforma to ensure a lean approach is applied to all case management and functional activities.
- Will be responsible for assessing and self-managing risk within all aspects of the role.
Essential Skills: - Educated to SQA Higher level or equivalent OR Moderate period of working experience in a relevant field.

- Ability to interpret, manipulate and analyse data and contribute to functional reporting as directed by line management.
