The Role We are looking for a foundation Admin Assistant to support our team in designing, delivering, and building on our current and future projects.
The successful person will be motivated to make a difference within the communities we work and be passionate about engaging people in the work we do!
We are looking for someone with strong administration and organisation skills, from managing and creating databases, through to arranging and hosting meetings online and in person.
Time management and the ability to juggle different deadlines and requirements is absolutely essential.
The role involves speaking with charity leaders, lawyers and professionals across the business, as well as with external stakeholders, so we need someone confident in doing so.
Responsibilities This role will work closely with our Foundation Director and Foundation Manager to support the delivery of a variety of projects and campaigns.
You will need to be a self-starter, taking your own initiative and managing your time effectively.
Mindset and attitude are big ones for us!
We need someone with a 'can-do' attitude who can run with new ideas, think big and deliver on exciting initiatives!
Database management and creation including updating our volunteering platform.
Creating newsletters, social media content and support in delivering our annual internal and external communications calendar.
Assist in building relationships, making connections between audiences and projects.
Assist in organising, producing and delivering events, from our presence at gunnercooke's annual Symposium, through to International Women's Day, our annual Wrap Up Manchester/London/Berlin (and beyond!)
events, through to 1-2-1, Hub and Big Meet Up meetings online and in person.
Generate reports around readership and engagement.
Keep up to date with emerging trends, changes in policy and the wider factors affecting the third sector.
Continuously promoting the Foundation externally to raise the profile of the work we do within the third sector.
The Person Skills and Abilities - Essential Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills, with great attention to detail.
Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
A calm, professional, welcoming approach with the ability to build excellent working relationships.
Ability to adapt quickly and embrace change in a fast-paced organisation.
Experience in developing, maintaining and updating databases.
Excellent skills in all Microsoft packages: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, social media platforms including Instagram and LinkedIn.
Skills and Abilities - Desirable Experience using online CRM systems and website content tools including Wix and WordPress.
Design experience with Canva (or similar).
Previous experience with event organisation.
Experience working in the voluntary sector, with knowledge of the challenges it faces.
Willing to travel and occasionally work unsocial hours if business need dictates.
