Administration Officer

Job summary To provide a comprehensive administration and secretarial support to the Shropshire Wheelchair and Posture Service, (a specialist clinical and mechanical multidisciplinary team who provide a service to people with mobility problems requiring a wheelchair).

Main duties of the job Share responsibility for reception desk.
Be the first point of contact for service users; booking and arranging appointments, general enquires.
Book and plan clinics whilst liaising with manufacturer representatives and clinicians.
Secretarial support for the service: managing and coordinating diaries, ordering, taking minutes.

Person Specification Training and Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
Maths and English at C or above - or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience Intermediate IT skills RSA 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Experience Essential Experience of Microsoft Office packages eg.
Word, Excel Experience of patient related data collection systems Knowledge and Skills Essential Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - including observation, listening and empathy skills Ability to organise and prioritise Able to work as part of a team as well as independently Able to take responsibility for appointment organisation without direct supervision Knowledge of confidentiality issues Good telephone skills
