Finance Assistant & Payroll Lead (Xero Expert)   We're seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Finance Assistant and Payroll Lead to join our team.
As a Xero expert, you'll support our finance function with tasks such as financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close processes.
You'll have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Key Responsibilities:   Accounts Payable & Receivable: ?Process invoices, payments, payroll, and receipts with accuracy and efficiency.  General Ledger Maintenance: ?Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.  Bank Reconciliation: ?Regularly reconcile bank accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.  Financial Reporting: ?Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.  Month-End Closing: ?Support month-end and year-end processes, including accruals and prepayments.  VAT Returns: ?Prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.  Expense Reporting: ?Process employee expense claims in line with company policies.  Fixed Asset Management: ?Maintain the fixed asset register, tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.  Audits: ?Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing queries.  Inbox Management: ?Collaboratively manage the finance team inbox, ensuring timely responses and efficient communication.  Key Requirements:   Education: ?Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification.  Experience: ?1-3 years in an accounting or finance role, with experience managing a portfolio of clients, and managing company wide payroll.
