Head Gear Films is looking to fill a full-time Accounts Assistant position starting as soon as mutually convenient.

About the Role The role would suit someone with a strong analytical background - and advanced Excel skills - but with an interest in the film and TV industry.
Key duties/responsibilities include: Maintain Excel-based tracking sheets of the company's loans Maintain Excel-based historical and future cash outflow and inflow – per loan type and per currency Accounts Receivable: issue invoices and maintain invoice tracking Account Payable: set up online bank payments to include invoices, loan drawdowns, loan sub-participant repayments, staff expenses and other ad hoc payments Daily reconciliation of company bank accounts Monthly reconciliation of company credit card Liaise with the external Treasury team and other third-party finance partners Assist external Treasury team with VAT return and annual accounts preparation Candidate Profile Necessary skills are: Acute attention to detail Strong administrative and organisational skills Good all-round IT skills – with advanced Excel skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work from own initiative Demonstrable problem-solving abilities Nice to haves: A commercial awareness of the independent film industry Knowledge of the entertainment value chain Essential personal qualities required are: Strong, authentic interest in the independent film business A conscientious, positive, team-oriented attitude Desire to take ownership of projects and tasks Friendly and easy-going personality A commitment to embrace and advocate for inclusion Details: Regular office hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, at our office near Oxford Circus.
