About the Role As an  Academic Support Assistant , you will work closely with students and teaching staff to ensure every learner receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
This role is ideal for those committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging and productive educational environment.
Responsibilities of the Academic Support Assistant: Assist students in their academic development, providing one-on-one and group support in core subject areas.
Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and resources for diverse learning needs.
Encourage and motivate students to develop their confidence, resilience and independent learning skills.
Monitor and record student progress, offering constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
Provide pastoral support to help students overcome personal challenges impacting their learning.
Uphold a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom and school community.
The successful candidate will: Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Strong academic background with the ability to assist in subjects like Mathematics, English, or Science.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff.
A proactive, empathetic and patient approach to supporting diverse student needs.
Have an  updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)  and an  enhanced DBS registered to the update service  (or be willing to apply for one).
