Teaching Personnel are looking for a Nurturing Youth Worker to join a fantastic school in Rawtenstall.
As a Youth Worker, you will take a creative approach to supporting pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises children's achievement and ability to develop.
The youth worker is responsible for supporting the children to ensure the effective delivery of the school's curriculum.
The ideal candidate will successfully set a vision and targets for pupil success and be confident in using their knowledge and expertise to monitor progress, give regular feedback and encourage their young people to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.
About the School This independent, specialist day school caters for or boys 11 to 18, who have a wide range of needs.
Their dedicated team, work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
The school pride themselves in steering children in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them both academically and socially to encourage them to take pride in their achievements.  They build confidence in their students, so they can have a greater understanding of the wider community in which they live.
It is essential that the applicant must have prior experience supporting children with SEMH.
As these are challenging environments the applicant must offer strategies for the children to cope with high pressure situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
