Youth Support WorkerFull-time position available from January 2025Salary: £450 – £550 per week Working hours: Monday – Friday, term-time only, approximately 8.30am – 4pmYouth Support Worker required for a welcoming school based in Leeds from January 2025.Educators with a genuine passion for working with hard-to-reach young people and children are urged to apply.
Previous experience supporting Social Emotional and Mental Health needs or Special Educational Needs is desirable due to the nature of the role.

Roles and responsibilities: 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups of up to 3-6 pupils across a range of key stages.Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to support positive behaviour and manage challenging behaviour.Individualised Plans: Work alongside teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.Mentoring and Guidance: Provide emotional and social support to students, helping them build self-esteem and resilience.Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
Essential requirements: A genuine passion for supporting the teaching and learning of vulnerable young adults and children.Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a SEN or support setting.Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to effectively support our students.Resilience and the ability to work with all levels of needs.Opportunity to work in a supportive and caring school community.Make a significant difference in the lives of children and young people with specialist learning needs.
