Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Pay: £85 - £95 per day Working hours: 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday term time only Bookmark Education are working with Primary Schools in the Oldham area and surrounding areas of Manchester who are looking to engage with a Youth Support Assistant to supported identified pupils in their schools.
The role is ideal for candidates who have experience and a passion for supporting young people who exhibit behaviours that challenge.
You may have experience working as a Residential support worker, Youth worker, Sports Coach or be a Graduate of Criminology, Counselling and Psychology and are now looking to look at securing work in a school setting.
The successful candidates will work in a school with identified pupils, under the direction of the school SENCO, supporting vulnerable pupils with SEMH (social emotional mental health) needs to feel safe, secure and happy in school.
You will work with them to help them understand their emotions, regulate reactions and support their social development with peers.
The Primary Schools we work with are in Oldham.
the schools typically have several pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
