A brilliant school in Thatcham, West Berkshire are looking to take on a Youth Mental Health Advocate this term.
The school are fully committed to creating a supportive, nurturing environment where students can express themselves freely and receive the support they need while still accessing high quality education.
Students attending the school are aged 7 - 16 years old and face challenges regarding social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Youth Mental Health Advocate role is a crucial position within the school's community.
Main Responsibilities of a Youth Mental Health Advocate: Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage students Create a safe environment for students to speak freely Collaborate with educational psychologists to tailor learning plans Implement therapeutic techniques Encourage independence and self-investigation 1-1 based support and interventions The school are excited to welcome a Youth Mental Health Advocate to improve their students' quality of education.
Full training will be provided on site to the successful applicant.
Previous experience is beneficial but not mandatory!
