We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a long-term role in Leeds, starting in January 2025 and running until July 2025.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, where you will have the opportunity to guide and inspire a class of young learners. Roles and Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 2.Provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of each child.Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents on development and areas for improvement.Support students with varying learning needs, adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and ensure a well-rounded learning experience.Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive behaviour and a strong sense of responsibility among students.Participate in school activities and staff meetings, contributing to the overall success of the school. Requirements: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods for Year 2 students.Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting the academic and emotional development of young children.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
