Yard Leading Hand

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are seeking a motivated and organised Leading Hand to join their manufacturing client on a temporary to permanent basis.  Overseeing the yard operation, with 3 direct reports, our Alfreton client can offer an immediate start for the right candidate.  Your duties will include, but are not limited to:  Ordering and controlling all stock and raw materials  Carrying out regular stock counts of all materials  Control all incoming deliveries and directing delivery drivers  Management of fork lift trucks on site and ensuring all operators are trained and have the skills needed to complete their role  Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to  Work in collaboration with all FLT operators to maintain stacking and storing of finished product  Ensure yard space available for incoming deliveries  Report daily to the production supervisor all yard based issues around stock control About you:  You must carry a 5 tonne counterbalance FLT license to be considered for this role  Experience in a supervisory environment is highly advantageous  Organised, friendly, with an aptitude to learn new tasks and skills  Team player with the common goal at heart    Pay: £12.95 per hour  Hours: Days, 6am start, 48 hour week  If this sounds like the opportunity for you, hit apply and a member of the team will be in touch.    CHE01 #yard #FLT #counterbalance #leadinghand #supervisor #yaroperative
