We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Wound Care Practitioner to join our professional team in Folkestone.

This role is part of the community nursing team, to provide high quality, specialist care to housebound patients with complex wounds in an outpatient clinic setting.
This service additionally provides advice andsupport to the Community Nursing Teams as required as a source of expertise in managing complex wounds.
As a Wound Care Practitioner, you will have responsibilities of caseload management, the day to day running of the clinic and responsibility for the quality of care provided.
Main duties of the job The Wound Care Practitioner is responsible for the running of the day-to-day Wound Clinics and ensure close collaborative working relationships with Primary Care Networks, Community Nursing Teams and other members of the MDT, providing shared care to meet the health and social care needs of the local population.
In the absence of the Clinical Lead, the Wound Care Practitioner would be expected to act as the lead professional and support the team ensuring to escalate where needed using the appropriate process.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse (NMC registration); Health related degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at level 6; Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to are of practice (eg: Wound Care/TVN specialist course) Desirable PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years experience in community setting; Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads; Supporting others (PA/PS qualification) Desirable Experience of leading and managing teams; Experience with the use of RIO, Microsoft Office and a variety of IT sources (E-Pay/Roster) Knowledge Essential Understanding and knowledge of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance relevant to care setting; Evidence of continued professional development within the past 12 months Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to manage time effectively; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Understanding of training needs in relation to post; Ability to lead, motivate and lead change/others Desirable Completed training and competent in Lower Limb Assessments, Dopplers, Application of compression and VAC therapy
