Workshop Engineer

This role will be based in our Basingstoke depot, supporting Region South.What we offer:To prepare FLT's to the standard required for STR rental and USED sales, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possibleTo adhere to all company H&S and Environmental and site policies, procedures and practices and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe work place.Ensure K1SS and all paperwork/It systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbersLiaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordinglyWork under own initiative without constant supervisionTo ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify Manager if in arrearsEnsure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correctEnsure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition and report any failuresTo take on any reasonable additional duties as required by the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the departmentAny other duties which arise as a result of duties as aboveThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive but is to be used as a guideline for the job in question There is a need for a flexible approach to this job in order for the company to achieve its objectivesHEALTH & SAFETYThe responsibility for employees' health and safety does not rest entirely with the Company and its management.
