Job Specification: Water Hygiene Supervisor Job Title: Water Hygiene Supervisor Department: Operations Location: Onsite, Northampton Reports to: Operations Manager Job Purpose: The Water Hygiene Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of water hygiene engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality water hygiene services across various commercial and industrial sites.
While the role is primarily office-based, it involves overseeing operations, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with Legionella control regulations, and providing technical support to the team.
The Water Hygiene Supervisor will also ensure that all work meets safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: • Team Supervision & Management:• Legionella Control & Compliance:• Quality Assurance & Health & Safety:• Client Management & Support:• Documentation & Reporting:• Continuous Improvement & Development: Essential Skills & Experience: • Relevant Experience: Proven experience leading a team of engineers or technicians, preferably within the water treatment or hygiene industry, is essential.• Legionella Control Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Legionella control regulations, including L8, and experience in implementing water hygiene programs.• Health & Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.• Organisational Skills: Excellent planning, scheduling, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications: • Legionella Awareness Training: Certification in water hygiene and Legionella risk management (L8).• Additional Certifications: City and Guilds water industry certifications (desirable).
Working Conditions: Full-time, onsite based role, with occasional travel to client sites if required.
May involve coordinating field-based work and liaising with engineers on-site.
Typically standard working hours with some flexibility required to meet client needs or attend meetings.
