West Midlands Police are recruiting for a Workforce Postings Officer to join our People Services Department.
The Workforce Postings Officer will work within the Workforce Planning Team and support the Postings Coordinators in the administration of posting of Probationary Officers, newly recruited Police Community Support Officers and restricted Police Officers when required across the force.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: To support the Posting Coordinators and the Workforce Planning Team in workforce planning for the force.
Provide high-quality administration support to the Posting Coordinators.
Prepare workforce planning data to highlight priority areas for postings in relation to Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers.
Provide high-quality customer service to stakeholders in relation to the provision of advice and guidance on workforce queries.
Respond to basic operational workforce queries using a range of different methods.
Attend Case Management meetings with the Posting Coordinators when required.
Ensure the HR database is kept up to date and all information is recorded accurately.
Provide establishment data as and when required to key stakeholders.
Working collaboratively with all team members and key stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential: Experience of working on own initiative and without supervision Demonstrable experience of prioritising work in order to meet deadlines Experience of working to a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail Experienced and competent in the use of MS Office applications (specifically Share Point, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint) Ability to prioritise high and conflicting demands effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience of developing strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders High accuracy levels in work with clear attention to detail Confident in working collaboratively in a team as well as independently Able to learn new processes and systems quickly and effectively Desirable: Previous experience of working within Policing or a Blue Light/ public sector organisation.
Previous experience of using Fusion An understanding of the Policing Education Qualifications Framework model, including the difference between PCDA and DHEP learning journeys, including the Police Now entry routes.

Vetting:? Successful applicants will be required to pass Management Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Medical: Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
Hours:? This is a full-time role (36.5 hours) working Monday-Friday within core hours.
