In this leadership position, within an established team, you have the unique opportunity to shape our bidding processes and help realise our growth strategy.
This role will support our UK&I Environment Business and can be based in any of our AECOM offices.
At AECOM, we're at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of environmental programmes and projects, through long-term partnerships with key clients.
In this role, you will lead a team of 4 bid managers and coordinators to provide work winning support for bids ranging from 100k-20m.
This position offers an opportunity to work with the Environment Business leaders to help prioritise and win business-critical bids – those that will make the greatest difference to achieving our strategy.Here's what you'll do:Oversee: Lead the Environment Work Winning Team, developing, and coaching bid managers and coordinators.
Lead bid teams, supporting subject matter experts in the creation of win strategies and bid writing and helping embed work winning best practice throughout the business.Delivery: Work with Environment Leadership to establish and maintain a list of 'business-critical' bids and liaise with other Work Winning Leads to ensure these are supported with appropriate work winning support.
Act as bid manager for our most strategic pursuits.Technical:  Ensure the Environment Business has the tools, collateral and training required to complete successful tenders without work winning support, when necessary.
Ensure Quality:  Help embed bidding best practice throughout the Environment Business, through training and guidance.
As a bid manager, work with capture managers to gather client and scope intelligence and gain an understanding of positioning activities to date.Collaborate: Work collaboratively across the work winning teams to help establish and continually improve our approach to bidding, sharing resources and lessons learned.
Engage early with the marketing teams on positioning campaigns.
