Wood Worker Outskirts of Bedford 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday £11.44 starting rate, reviewed after 12 weeks Temp to perm 1st Choice Bedford are currently working with a bespoke framing company that are seeking a Wood Worker to join the business at a pivotal time of their growth plans.
The ideal candidate will have some background working with wood, whether through formal education or practical experience.
This is an entry-level position, suitable for a school leaver or someone willing to undergo training to develop their skills.
Minimum wage initially, with potential for advancement based on performance.
Responsibilities: Cutting and shaping wood to precise measurements using hand and power tools.
Assembling and joining wood pieces to create components.
Sanding and finishing to ensure a smooth and polished surface.
Assisting in the preparation of materials for production.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Following safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements: Background working with wood preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Reliable and punctual.
