Job Title: Wintel Engineer (Hybrid) URGENT Location: UK – South of England Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to join our consultancy on a hybrid basis.
This role requires travel to a location in the South of England twice a week.
You will take ownership of key operational services, managing Windows and x86 systems across Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and On-Prem environments for UK, Ireland, and Luxembourg businesses.
The role demands a mix of technical expertise and leadership, ensuring the ongoing performance, compliance, and integrity of the multi-cloud estate.
Key Responsibilities: Manage Windows and x86 Services: Full ownership of operational services across Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, OCI), Private Cloud, and On-Prem environments, both physical and virtual.
Identity Services Management: Oversee Active Directory, EntraID, SecureEnvoy, DNS, DHCP, and Radius services running on Windows Server platforms.
Cloud & M365 Management: Ownership of Azure, AWS, OCI tenants, including IaaS, and the M365 suite of tools.
System Integrity & Compliance: Ensure data and system integrity across the multi-cloud estate, maintaining Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) platforms and performing regular testing.
Operational Excellence: Monitor, maintain, and ensure that all systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
Team Leadership: Lead a multi-disciplinary team in troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving continuous improvement within the technology estate.
Skills & Experience Required: 4+ Years' Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating continuous improvement in managing and optimizing technology estates.
Cloud Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) .
Hybrid Model Management: Deep knowledge of managing Microsoft 365 Services and Microsoft technologies in a hybrid model.
Scripting Proficiency: Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
Problem-Solving & Leadership: Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a track record of leading teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
SFIA Level 3: Understanding of the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) at Level 3.
