The successful candidate will be supporting a key stage 2 pupil 1:1.
Some of the support may be delivered outside of the classroom.
Main Responsibilities
Supporting pupil engagement and ensuring the safety of the supported pupil at all times Build rapport with 1:1 pupil Work closely with the class teacher.
Following guidelines and advice for best practice in working with supported pupil Engaging in child-initiated learning and follow planning given by the class teacher Modelling effective communication and desired behaviours Communication with parents/carers and staff Creating engaging 1:1 activities which link to current learning Working with external supporting professionals and adapting practice according to advice
The post is related to the provision of special needs support for this pupil.
The role will end if the provision is no longer required (or the pupil departs the school).
The successful candidates will have some experience of working with children in an educational setting.
You will be a supportive and welcoming presence in the classroom with the dedication to inspire the children to meet their full potential.
