We are currently looking to onboard a Wholesale Credit Risk Model Developer on a contract basis for a large UK bank.
Target start date is first week of January and the initial engagement will be a 1 year contract throughout all of 2025, with potential for extension.

This role can be primarily remote therefore we can consider individuals located anywhere in the UK, however it would be preferable if this person is able to meet with the rest of the team, the majority of whom are based in London.
Overview of Role The Wholesale Model Developer will be leading a team of highly specialised analysts in the development and maintenance of quantitative models used in the organisation's risk frameworks.
They will lead and drive the model development, including co-ordinating between modellers, data, users and validation.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of highly technically skilled model developers Support a clearly defined and effective framework within which models are developed and maintained in a controlled manner, mitigating excessive model risk Provide business and other stakeholders with advice and support on model use, model impact and model implementation Supporting regulatory engagement and internal governance in relation to risk models and model frameworks.
Key Requirements Knowledge of IRB regulations and Wholesale IRB modelling is key Python knowledge is required - the role will not require coding on a day to day basis but this person should still have sufficient knowledge of Pythonto be able to review code or be involved in ad hoc coding if required Experience in large-scale banking environments We are looking for individuals with primarily a model development background rather than validation JBRP1_UKTJ
