Welding Coordinator

My Walsall based Fabrication client are looking for a Welding Coordinator to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.Duties will include:-Reviewing welding requirements & selecting suitable weld proceduresWork with production staff to ensure the suitability of welders allocated to each projectFront line inspections at fit-up stageMonitor the welding system by performing random checks on welding parameters, pre-heats etc.Final weld inspectionsMaintain welder repair matrixInspect all welding operations taking place and check welding standards are maintainedIssue weld proceduresReview and manage non destructive testing requirements on all projects.Issue post weld heat treatment proceduresManage subcontractor non destructive testing personnelIssue out and maintain weld cardsMaintain weld mapsPopulate document and certificate packs with welding related information – register and record all weld consumable certificatesControl consumables through the storesMonitor the calibration and maintenance of welding and heat treatment plantsWelding stores maintenance / records / temperature recordingSpecify and order welding consumablesPeriodically review and manage welder qualificationsCorrect any quality problemsKey Skills:-Essential you have an industrial welding backgroundMust be computer literateExcellent communication skillsTeam player
