An exciting opportunity to join a successful award-winning market leader, who has been established for 20+ years and its core business areas encompassing metal fabrication, sheet metalwork, steelwork, pipework and custom machinery Salary & Benefits: A starting salary of up to £29'000 to £35'000 Sick pay scheme Life insurance Employee Assistance Programme Free on-site car parking Excellent training and development Days role Excellent Overtime opportunities Roles & Responsibilities: Cutting, joining, and shaping metal and other materials using heat and tools Reading and understanding assembly instructions Ensuring necessary materials are available Taking precise measurements for perfect alignment of components Operating cutting tools and welders to join metal parts together Reading blueprints, cutting and shaping metal pieces, and performing quality checks on completed welds Creating metal structures and products using welding and fabrication techniques Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Min 3/5 years' experience of Fabrication and Welding.
Must have the ability to read engineering drawings and be able to produce cutting lists then produce fabrications unaided, in Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium.
Stainless steel and mild steel Pipe work, including fabricating in the workshop or on site and installing and assembling systems and checking for leaks.
The ability to use CNC Guillotine and CNC Brake Press would be an advantage.
