Dorset Cleanerfish Ltd, a leading hatchery dedicated to sustainable aquaculture, is seeking a Weekend Hatchery Operator to support our team in maintaining optimal fish health and hatchery operations.

Key Responsibilities: Fish Culture: - Feed fish according to calculated daily rations and monitor fish behaviour to ensure health and wellbeing.
- Clean tanks and maintain a tidy hatchery environment.
Record Keeping & Reporting: - Accurately enter data into forms (e.g., feeding sheets).
Facility Operation & Maintenance: - Monitor water flow and quality parameters, take water samples and readings for dissolved gases and other required metrics.
- Ensure proper water flow and optimal rearing conditions for fish welfare.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: - Organize and maintain hatchery tools, equipment, and grounds.
- Identify and communicate any safety concerns promptly to management.
- Use all tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
What We're Looking For: - Reliable and punctual with a genuine interest in aquaculture.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Comfortable working independently during weekend shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in aquaculture or fish husbandry is a plus, but not essential—training will be provided.
